Corruption In Indian Private Universities - Example 3

Here's the Aerospace Engineering department website of GITAM University (a massive private university with campuses in three different cities: Vishakhapatnam, Bengaluru, Hyderabad):

Department of Aerospace Engineering | GITAM

Here's the faculty profile of this department:

Professors: 0
Associate Professors: 1 (PhD)
Assistant Professors: 5 (1 PhD, 4 M. Tech.)

These guys are running a department that has both UG and PG programs with a total of 6 faculty members, of which only 2 have a PhD.

I honestly don't get how this kind of nonsense gets any UGC / AICTE approval. How can anyone in his or her senses accept that students will get fair value for their fees here?

And now that I have your attention, I invite you to explore this university across all departments in all three campuses and note down how many of their faculty members have a PhD and how many not.

Once you have this data, underline this statement: We have a massive employment crisis amongst PhD graduates! Students are spending years in their doctoral studies, only to not get employment at the end of it because universities want to cut salary costs (without cutting student fees of course!).

This has got to be made illegal. If you're running a university, your first investment has to be in hiring faculty, then anything else.
