1938 - 1947: Divide and Rule Finally Succeeds!

Below is a photograph of Subhash Chandra Bose at Lahore City Railway Station taken on 24 November 1938, about nine years before our independence from British rule.

It is historical fact that people belonging to every single religion - Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians - rallied behind Subhash Chandra Bose in our struggle for independence, with many thousands making the ultimate sacrifice! There was no sense of division, no enmity, everyone fought shoulder to shoulder.

Look at the picture carefully. You can literally feel that the whole of pre-partition India was one united force, can't you 🙂?

Yet, when Independence came, these very people suddenly started fighting with each other.

Why? Why do you think this happened 🙂? Read your history, read about the British Empire's Divide & Rule Policy right after the Mutiny of 1857. It's a matter of official record 🙂.

In fact, we all were taught this in our school history 🙂!

And yet, we're still fighting 😅! The sheer madness 😅!

And who do you think is benefiting from this 🙂?

Understand this calmly: Either we move forward as a united force and consolidate ourselves as a world power, or we keep wasting our energy and resources on fighting with each other and stay third world. These are the only two choices in front of us. There is no other choice 🙂.

Our 76th Republic Day is right around the corner. Let's sort ourselves and be clear about the way forward before the celebrations start.

(Note: As you reflect on the post above, bear in mind that I have supported the present government every time they acted to cancel minority appeasement freebies (Haj Allowance, PM Iftar Parties, Triple Talaaq, Article 370 - Kashmir lost the moral right to ever demand anything in January 1990). But from 2019 to 2024 their speeches and IT Cell actively spread hatred against ordinary Muslim citizens. Not only can this not be allowed, it is fundamentally nonsensical. To understand this better, I invite you to read: Strike a Pause: Why Push Away Muslims? (strike-a-pause.blogspot.com))
