Remember this always:
Time is the most valuable commodity you will ever have. Money lost can be recovered, but time once lost is gone forever. It can never be recovered. So if there is something you really want to do in life, go ahead and do it even if it means taking a pay cut.
In the eastern traditions it is said that wilfully distracting someone from his objective (assuming of course that it is not something dishonourable) by one day delays your liberation by a whole lifetime, i.e. you have to come back in the circle of birth and death once for every day that you take away from someone's life. And you have to live these lifetimes perfectly to avoid further Karmic debts. Deliberately wasting someone's time is considered one of the worst Karmic mistakes.
So, never do it. Never ever do it.
And protect your time with all alertness. Each moment wasted is a moment wasted forever. It's an irrecoverable loss.
