The Magic of Erasing Religious Divides: A Real Life Example

I invite you to see this video: Ustad Rahim Fahimuddin Dagar: Continuity and Change in Music Traditions - YouTube

Here Ustad Rahim Fahimuddin Dagar (a Muslim) speaks about Bhartiya Sanskriti (Indian tradition), Shastriya Sangeet (Indian Classical Music), and Music being a path to Moksha (Liberation) in the Hindu tradition at Jamia Milia Islamia. Unhesitant use of Sanskrit, invocation of Saraswati and Brahma, and a completely receptive audience (that must have been largely Muslim).

This is the only India that makes sense. Sanskrit Shlokas, Azaan, Gurubani, Church Hymns and Buddhist Chants, will all always be welcome here.

Absorb this spirit. Heal. Let music heal. We have much much work at hand and the only way we're going to get anywhere is if we move together.
