It's Fiercely Competitive! Work Hard Or Get Left Behind!

Here's a message I can't emphasize enough to students:

Whichever profession you have decided to pursue, you simply *have to* continuously strive to improve and raise your bar in it. It's a fiercely competitive world, every single company and university is continuously selecting the best candidates they can find, every promotion calls upon the best of the team to move forward and lead. This is how it's going to be all the way through life. If you slack off, you're going to get left behind. That's just how it is whether you like it or not.

Does this mean you don't get time to pursue extra curricular interests or compromise on spending quality time with your friends and family? (read carefully: high quality time - not a large quantity of time 😅!)

Nope. A balanced is life is perfectly fine.

But it does mean that you simply stop aimlessly lounging around and wasting time completely.

Stay alert! Fight!

PS 1: If you have more than one goals, you have to work hard towards each one of them. As far as the world is concerned, it's going to look for excellence in whichever field(s) you want to make a mark and will pay attention to whoever is doing the best. Plain and simple.

PS 2: If you fudge, you-will-be-found-out in the real world. No one's a fool 😊.
