Supreme Court Correct In Supporting Article 370 Abrogation

The Supreme Court of India's decision to uphold the abrogation of Article 370 is a 100% correct decision.

I've been opposed to a lot of actions of the NDA government over the last ten years. But one thing I have supported wholeheartedly is the scrapping of Article 370. Even us secularists know that Kashmir before January 1990 and Kashmir after January 1990 are two different Kashmirs with two different political realities.

Anyone and everyone in Kashmir lost all right to deserve or demand anything on 19th January 1990 when Kashmiri Hindus were forced to flee. They were given three choices: Convert to Islam, Leave or Die. I believe most ended up choosing from the latter two. This is called ethnic cleansing.

With such conduct, where is the question of any special status (leave alone being allowed to secede)? The very notion is ridiculous.

For those who don't understand the plain truth above: look into your conscience, your zameer, and pray to the Almighty to make you more humane.

India is a secular nation that is committed to equal rights for all citizens irrespective of religion, race and ethnicity. But that has never, and will never, been allowed to translate to intimidation and stupidity.

End of chapter.

Moving forwardMy personal view is that the Simla agreement should be formalized, the present LoC should be designated the India-Pakistan border, and people on both sides (our Kashmir and PoK) should be given a one time opportunity to migrate. Those on our side who would prefer to live in Pakistan should be allowed to go and those in PoK who would prefer to live in India should be allowed to come. That's it. There needs to be a Full Stop on India Pakistan tensions for good. If we can achieve this, China will be held in check and our subcontinent will be more stable (and thus advance economically faster).
