What The Fields Remember (Nellie Massacre)

If you have seen The Kashmir Files, you also need to see this documentary:

Always remember: There are people capable of unthinkable, unjustifiable, violence in every religion. There is absolutely zero merit in judging any one religion or community to be "violent" and others "non-violent". That's a very childish way of understanding the world and we must get over it.

As I often say: Read your history, read about the Mutiny of 1857 and the subsequent Divide and Rule Policy implemented by the British. It was consciously and deliberately done to retain power over the people, and it worked. Not only did Hindustan get divided into three parts India-Pakistan-Bangladesh, people within each of these countries are still fighting along religious lines.

You must ask yourself: Who benefits from our infighting? Definitely not us! Friends and neighbors become enemies overnight without even understanding why - all through waves of unseen hands in the background. But those hands never get hurt. Never have, never will.

We must move forward as one people. And the only form of governance that guarantees that is a secular form of governance wherein religion simply becomes a personal choice: Hindus go to temples, Muslims have their mosques, the Christians Churches, and the Sikhs their Gurudwaras. Even atheism and agnosticism are personal choices - belief in God and faith cannot be forcibly imposed on anyone.

Be committed to a peaceful, prosperous, tomorrow for the whole humanity. That's maturity. That's wisdom.
