Every time you see a store that has a QR code but not a card reader, every time you see a restaurant with a QR code menu, you are seeing situations where 1000s of customers need to own smart phones for cashless transactions, for getting a meal, instead of the store buying one card reader 🙂 or the restaurant simply printing its menu on paper.
Not to mention the plain ridiculousness of not being able to hire an auto or taxi anywhere unless you own a smartphone with Ola, Uber, Etc. apps downloaded 😏!
And OTP becoming mandatory to even log on to your internet banking account means that every single bank user needs to own a cell phone. Including the very poor who often don't even have enough money for three meals in a day 🙂.
