A Mistake Many Private Universities In India Are Making

Here's a mistake many (most) private universities in India are making presently. Those who wish to, can correct course:

The backbone of any academic institution is the academic chain of command:

Director/Chancellor - Deputy Director/Vice Chancellor - Deans - Heads - Faculty.

And HR and non-academic administration are support systems. Very useful if the right personnel are selected and explained their roles properly. But very disruptive if they somehow gain the impression that they are the real deal and others can come and go.

This is happening. HR and non-academic administration are being given too much of a hand in decision making. A lot of attrition and weakening of academics can be understood if this is thought about carefully.

Think about this carefully. It's important.
