The whole concept of registering one's number for DND (Do Not Disturb) is upside down.
When we get a cell number, by default we should not be disturbed by telemarketers. Those who want to receive telemarketing calls should register themselves on a "calls permitted during these time slots" list.
I say this because I'm convinced a majority of us want to stay focused on our work through the day. Right now the situation is disastrous! You get disturbed while working by call centre employees wanting to sell you products and services or wanting you to fill out feedback forms for stuff you've bought (for which you get an email anyway!).
Why is it ok for us to allow people in a whole range of professions to be disturbed and distracted just so that some businessman somewhere can increase his sales? Why isn't productivity at work important to us as a nation?
