If you look at the way Indian society is progressing, it isn't just a desperation to be European or American any more, it's a desperation to be white. This is a whole another level of racism - and it's even more pathetic because we are inflicting it upon ourselves!
Globalization and absorbing the best aspects of all cultures is one thing; starting to believe the myth that we had nothing going before the British arrived, they benevolently civilized us, and disregarding our heritage altogether and submitting to the notion that being Euro-American is evolution, quite another.
Grow up for heaven's sake! Have some self respect!
