It amuses me no end when I see people unfit even to the point of borderline or established obesity use vehicles to cover distances that would take just 15-20 minutes if they walked or cycled instead.
I just don't get it. Do people have something fundamentally against doing little things that will keep them from being too unfit? Just controlling one's diet, walking a bit, and if it's not too much of a strain, using the stairs instead of elevators and escalators, can go such a long way towards staying fit. Add to that a bit of exercise and one is set.
Fitness and health are the primary reasons to keep your weight under control. In addition, if it matters to you, fitness is also physically attractive. That's the truth whether you like it or not. And no, no one is compelled to change his or her thought process to suit you.
It's remarkable really. There seems to be a whole movement out there trying to
make normal people feel guilty about not being attracted to unfit people. High
sounding philosophies based on plain untruth. To put others on guilt trips and
contort their thinking to suit you. How selfish can you get?
Strange, just plain strange. Why not keep it simple? Do what it takes, with medical advice if needed, to get fit. That's all there is to it.
