I think this is a critically important post:
Life may take you through phases that are not too inspiring. Maybe the work you are doing is mundane, and brighter, more challenging and more inspiring opportunities aren't opening up. Or maybe the people you are obliged to associate with as colleagues or in society aren't inspiring enough. Or for some other reason.
At such times, to stay afloat and keep the possibility of making a positive change alive, here's the first thing to remember (even if you are feeling a frustration inside): Keep giving your best to whatever your responsibilities are and keep being civil and polite with whoever your company is (unless someone misbehaves - you certainly have the right to resist that (intelligently 😉)).
But don't stop there at an individual/personal level.
Figure out what your interests and passions are and commit yourself to working on the same, steadily, as much as you can every day, with excellence as your goal. And alongside keep your eyes open for opportunities for a positive shift in your life / profession / career / colleagues / companions / etc.
This will keep you above your circumstances and awake, energetic and inspired from within.
Your interests could be in science or music or art or sports or yoga or
meditation or scriptures or social service ... You may have one interest or
multiple. All that is entirely up to you. You figure that out. And then commit
to moving forward on the same. Steadily, as much as you can every day, towards
being the very best you can be in them.
Keep this as your individual/personal focus and minimize wasting time
aimlessly. Time once gone cannot be recovered :).
Hope the above helps in bringing a positive shift in your mindset and life :).
