Mutiny of 1857 to Partition! What Happened?

I wish someone would make a movie on the Mutiny of 1857 and the subsequent Divide and Rule policy of the British. It is said that the British were so shaken up by Hindus and Muslims fighting side by side in the mutiny and comfortably respecting commanding officers from either religion that they officially initiated a Divide and Rule policy to maintain control in this part of the world!

So Hindus and Muslims had arrived at a level of comfort and kinship by 1857 that shook up our rulers. This is official record!

What changed after that?

First the Brits and then politicians and two bit unenlightened religious leaders (on every side!)!

This would be one of the most relevant Historical Epics made. Will start sublimating 160 years of polarization!

There is strength in unity, weakness in division. Basic high school education.

We would have been unsurpassable in every single field if we had stayed united. And we could have stayed united. When you fight an enemy together, you become family - period! You learn to live together. You learn to live and let live. You learn to accept differences. You learn to seek unity in diversity. We fought the British together. We were family. We should have stayed together.

As for the first PM, they could have just tossed to choose between not just Jawaharlal Nehru (Hindu) or Muhammad Ali Jinnah (Muslim), but from respectable leaders of different groups: Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Atheist, Agnostic, ... Who cares? We needed stability, peace, poverty alleviation, education, healthcare, defense, cultural richness. Not meaningless bloodshed and hatred.

There are ways to resolve all differences amicably and make this entire geopolitical region stable and steady like a rock. That's our way forward. If we achieve this, this area of the planet will be one of the richest. And impossible to challenge. By anyone.
